Carp fishing

So I heard about bowfishing for carp about a month ago and I just got my new AMS Fish Hawk and AMS Retriever Pro 610 with 200# test and a couple arrows... After spending all this time researching and investing, I missed one HUGE question: what the hell do I do with the carp I stick? :D I know they can't be released and you'd have to pay me an amount of money at least 3 digits long to eat one cooked in any fashion, but I don't know where to go from there. I read on wikipedia that they can be used as compost, should I hit up the local gardening stores and offer free carp? Or should they be triple bagged and hucked in the Dumpster?

There are people who eat them, not me but there are some that do. I see guys fishing along the back in Salem that will eat every fish they catch including carp and squawfish. I also work with people who will eat any kind of fish and really love the taste of carp. You might just need to ask around. I am sure you should be able to find someone who is more then willing to take it.

Give it to the Russians who fish for carp on the Willamette, They need it.

Wiki said some foreign country ate carp like Americans eat turkey/ham at thanksgiving and Christmas... I guess I'll post on craigslist

Must keep the thread alive awhile longer! And I have one last question that doesn't need a new topic made:

1.015 Hunting and Firearms.
(1) In a park or open space area, no person may:
(a) Hunt, pursue, trap, kill, injure, molest, or disturb any wildlife.
(b) Discharge a firearm, pellet gun, bow and arrow, slingshot, or
other weapon capable of injuring a person or wildlife.

(2) Notwithstanding Subsection (1) of this section, persons may hunt
migratory water fowl in a park or open space located outside of the
City limits that is being leased by a private party for agricultural
purposes if permission to hunt the migratory water fowl has been
granted by the lease holder.
(3) City staff or staff from other wildlife management agencies are
exempt from Subsection (1) of this section when performing authorized
duties of their position.

You heard it folks straight from the mouth of the man himself! All the obvious spots are a no-go for bow fishing!

Question: Excluding Fern Ridge and secret spots, wheres a good place to go for carp within a half hour of Eugene/Springfield? I'd settle for crappy places that have carp too ;)

I'd go to the Amazon Canal off of Fir Butte Rd.
