What is fishable?

I'm not even the one who was asking for info! You sit here and lecture me about rain and silt as if I don't know what I'm talking about? Not to mention your asinine assumption that I've been fishing for less than a year? Don't sit here and lecture me about the reasoning for people not responding to questions. You can only speak for yourself. And not everyone has the same outlook that you do.

"But there is tons of information on this forum about this topic and other topics. You just gotta take a little time and do some fairly "well" research. " - The fact that you think I'm the one "researching" fishable water proves that you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Do YOUR research and go lecture the person who actually asked. Or better yet, DON'T lecture anyone, cut the "I know everything" attitude and start actually helping without criticizing first. Not everyone needs to "have **** flicked" at em just because they have a question.

I check river levels and flows every day on WKCC.. and the only time I check this forum is to see if there's anything SHUT DOWN, or if anyone might need some help. God forbid I, a "new-comer" actually have something semi-smart to say.

Not to mention most guides I've gone fishing with (and that's GONE fishing.. ya know, like friends? Like, I don't pay them because I actually have friends I can fish with) point out the guys like you on these forums. You're nothing new, and you're not one of a kind. Just another know it all angler with more attitude than help.

Have fun on your forum. I'm done with this.

Not to mention you've been on here for, what, year and a half? Big frickin deal. I garuntee you there's at least 20 years difference in fishing experience between the two of us. And I believe you're barely even 20?? So you might want to think twice before you start going off on people like you know everything. How can you even say "in the past 3 years" when you've only been a member of OFF half that time?

You sir, are full of $hit.

I was high on the Smith river yesterday and it had nice looking water. I would imagine that any smaller system would be similar.

Mad dog gives better advice than most, and he's knowledgeable.

Good luck,

Mad Dog IS in the 10%, there is more to be learned from his posts than 80% of other members.

x 2

An awful lot of these internet report chasers would be better suited learning water levels on at the very least "their local water" and growing some thicker skin wouldn't hurt

yeah, I do that, but that doesn't really tell you if they are actually running with good color...

First...Since you clame to know that site. I do, as well. You should have a good understanding of the water clarity on your rivers by the stages that are shown.

Second...Might want to listen to these "Old timers". They have a lot more more knowledge than you about fishing as it clearly shows. And they definitely have more class. Congrats to you

I love members like this, contribute absolutely nothing and expect everything.

nd what exactly do I expect? After trying to use this forum, I notice the expectations most of you have. This place is much more for you all to show off to each other than it is to be helpful.

I haven't asked for info. And I don't expect anything. But what I've noticed is quite a few Salem area a-holes with a real big chip on their shoulder. Interesting how the attitude seems to concentrate in your area....

Maybe it's something in the water that makes you so full of yourself.

Again, I didn't ask for info. Get you $hit straight before you start making accusations.

it is a place to show off your fish, what the hell do you think a forum is for?you are the only one making accusations calling everyone every name in the book to get your point across.dont you have some park to go occupy?

I just thought I would say there is some rivers fishing as two of us hooked 19 sunday and 10 yesterday and water clarity dont mean much if you go bright and strong scent and slow your presintation down so they can get a fix on it.This is for the start of this thread about weather there is rivers fishing.Sunday the river started out silky and dirtyed up but didn't matter because we follow these tips and fish with confidence. That is your number one tool that way you stick it out and ready for when that bite does come.

My thoughts exactly bigsteel. It's a place for you all to come show off for each other, then talk a bunch of trash to most people asking for help. Have fun with that.

Also as you look at the river charts fish anything that is cresting or starting to drop, but as I say that I was fishing last week as one of the rivers I fish was turning up and still got into 18 fish between two of us as the river came up probally 6 inches while we were fishing. We dont land this many of course but still get a lot and I dont eat fish so I dont mind fishing native rivers where you dont deal with the crowds

What a loser...a real tough guy on the keyboard...Mad Dog? More like Sad Dog...a full grown "man" like yourself has nothing better to do than act like a douche bag on a fishing forum? seriously? What a joke...:clap:

WOW!!! Sorry Ahab! I was just trying to have a little fun. Didn't mean to offend you!

How was I acting like a Douce bag?

You don't have much of a sense of humor do you? You asked for advice, I gave you advice, what more do you want? I'll offer up a little bit more advice if you like....Relax!!!....You can't take anything seriously on the internet!

If the weather dries up a bit....The Canyonville stretch of the South river will probably be off the hook by the weekend! Get above Cow creek....good tip!

Nice!!! All that plus adjusting to where the fish lie when the flows and clarity change, that kind of knowledge only comes with time spent on the water, not staring at a monitor....so many variables that affect what Mr. steelhead is gonna do!
