I'd take a cocktail any day rather than standing helpless in a down pour but you must be thinking of a different day because it didn't rain on us. Anyhoot, it's such a pleasure to hear your stories and see your pictures from your annual Mecca trip. That's gotta be a trip you look forward to every year.

saturday the 19th it poured in mecca for an hour and a half around 4pm... i remember it well.. the evening was very productive and dry. high desert weather, gotta love it.

Dang! We got back to camp around 5, had a spaghetti dinner, then walked over to FlyBums camp and told our best lies around the fire until midnight without a drop. Hope it was a good movie.

Wow!! They got rained on up at Mecca that weekend :shock: Ya that was a great weekend!

That top one looks more like a mayfly with the upright wings. The bottom one is a stone fly of some sorts probably a yellow sally. Pretty yellow if it was a golden stone, from the pictures, that's the best I can think of.
