Fly tying and patterns sharing thread

mine are a lot more simplified. just bead dubbing and thread, but they work. your flies look like fun to tie

Nice Rock worms, really proportionate ties. But those are not at all similar to my purple one (except they both catch fish). Mine has a tail, rib, flash back. biots wings.

thanks for the compliment. means a lot coming from someone who ties such nice flies, and your right. i worded it wrong. i should of said i tie purple flies for down there too. sorry but i have to ask is that a secret recipe for your fly?

Not a secret, but letting this one out of the box a bit. Something I thought may look good. I've been handing these out to friends in hopes of catching fish and coming up with a NAME for it. This is kind of a cross but it kinda became its own little thing. (not to say it has never been done before, though) I don't know? I was just messing around one night.

A nymph i have been tying.

That's neat, but I would try to put the "tag" under the tail :)

Just goofin' around again, thought I'd call the red one "The Stepchild" (get it) LOL

Wow, I really like that fly, I hope you haven't had it copyrighted , cuz I think I'm gonna make something as similar to that as I can, I like any fly that can resemble a leech.

Nice flies everyone.
My most recent tie. Any name ideas for it?

Interacial date night!

sort of reminds me of a shrimp for some reason.

A few steelhead flies, first a NW classic, an Orange Heron, a Syd Glasso pattern. This isn't perfectly tied (tinsel is a bit wobbly), nor exactly correct in materials, but pretty close:

And a variation suggested by Dave McNeese - was wondering why these next two look a little dirty, til I remembered I took them out for a swim before taking the photo's, so try and ignore the dust specks:

and in all purple:

and next, a couple speys:
One in blue,

and a Cherry Spey (as in Kool-Aid, used to dye the goose shoulder feather after slightly burning it in bleach and water to loosen up the webbing of the feather:

Well done.. very nice flies!

MLW ....good looking flies and your camera work is over the top. Nice.

Peeerrrrrrrddddd

Good job! I like those Sili-legs on that prince. You should also check out some life flex and double it up on each side makes it kinda fun either way though.
