EC Sunday - in and out

Hey Flymstr, Hope you don't go away. I have learned a bunch from your postings. I look at the creek differently now, sort of dissecting every part instead of just hanging out at the usual spots. And I actually hooked into some fish today!!!!!!!!!

I have to say flymaster I don't know this kid/guy but I think if you go back and read his posts you might see he was trying to say he didn't learn much from this board. Even though I find that BS in its self, I think in his mind your interaction with one another, one on one either on line or on the water is what he gave credit to. And wasen't going to spill the beans. I don't know but thats how I'm seeing it and I'm sure he's chrushed to have pissed you off and missed out on the opertunity to learn from you. That said If you'ed like another grasshopper I could be your man.

I am almost 40, just had to clear that up.

Thank you for trying to understand. I think you do. I truly was just trying to respect what they (Flymstr and 2 others, not sure if they want me to go public with there names, so I am respecting that as well) had shared and didn't know how they would have reacted if I went and said I learned it from them. I didn't want everyone on this board hammering them with PM's saying "hey, you shared it with him, so can you tell me some stuff too? Make sense?

I hope everyone understands this.

I have also seen posts about what things to use and what to do etc in certain areas of the creek (not the masters) and every time I saw that person on the river they were doing the opposite, so I figure everyone is just protecting the knowledge. I was trying to protect theirs.

Yes, I am upset that I made him mad, but hopefully he will understand and forgive me for not being more clear. I did what I did out of respect for him, his shared knowledge and a couple others on this board as well. Thank you guys as well, you know how you are.

All I know is that Flymstr is the best I have ever seen at fishing for these steelies. I get spoiled cause I catch 20 dark silvers a day on the creek and think that I can do that with winters and I just can't. I have been fishing the creek for 14 years and have just started to learn how to catch these steelhead. And most of the useful information I got from Flymstr. He hand-fed me a fish last year and I was so thankful for it and still am I learned so much that day, and I have been around the creek for a decade. I cannot believe how well he can spot those fish! It's crazy!!! I love that creek and I love the fact that there is someone up there like him that has so much knowledge and is willing to share it with so many people.

Everytime I go up there I say hi to him ask how many he's caught and immediately get jealous. But he has put the time in on the creek and knows it so well. I hope he stays on the forum and KNOW he'll stay on the creek.

Maybe I could meet ya up there sometime D. I have been up by the hatchery once, and felt like I was fishing someones backyard...I was probably tresspassing!:lol: Usually when I fish the crick I stay down around EF and the mile or two above and below it. I get soo sketched out below the hatchery its hard to fish!:lol:

I do both.:shock: No fish 2thebank4me @EC yesterday. I had a nice bright chromer on that gave me a great show (taildance on top of the water) before breaking my SWIVELL!!!! Stupid clearance swivels. I was using a pink pom-pom w/anise gel.:think:I was the first one there @6 and 13 cars when I left around 1. Beautiful water and day though

Question from Growbug: How, When, Where, Who with, and What d'ya use

How: Tips from Flymstr and a couple others here on OFF. I have been fishing for over 30 years, but that reset to zero when I started fishing EC, it's defenitly a new learning curve and if I tried using and doing what I did up on my home river in Washington, I would never catch. Thanks Flymstr and others!

When: Just after sunrise on Sunday

Where: Do I really have to answer this? You know where.

Who with: I was by myself when I hooked and landed it.

What I use: Drifting yarn from a spinning setup (Berkely IM8).
