The river is a complete ZOO more fisherman then fish it seems!!!!!!!!

The river was an absolute mad house. It was like threading a needle getting through all the boat traffic. We lost quite a few good ones and I managed to take a Fat 43" on the water by 5:30 Fishing right at 6:10 (1 hr before sunrise exactly) didn't land the keeper until 2pm.

Rumor has it today was the last day for sturgeon on the Willamette. I heard 1700 caught Friday and 55 caught today as of 3pm. Today was absolutely horrible. Fishing next to 3 guides all day and saw 1 guide land a 55" and only a few shakers. There is also the rumor the Willamette will be closed completely next year for retention. What a year for sturgeon on the Willamette. Way too much pressure yesterday and even more so today. Hope those that went out managed at least 1 keeper this year.

I camped on the west linn dock Thursday night, fished all day Friday and today. No luck...
