Half hour later he hooks up again and looses it right before the net.10 minutes later I hook up and tag out.He ends up loosing two more and we call it day.:D

NICE fishies! I'm jealous of you as always mike! Ha ha

Man I actually thought that when you went back to work that you would have to fish weekends and after 4:30 during the week...I neglected to take into account the possibility of 4 tens.....you are definitely putting the smack down on em this year....keep up the good work....I live vicariously through your pics......

well done mike!!

Dude, those are some bright river fish!

Congrats, I haven't caught any myself but hope to change that soon. Were you banking it? If so, I might have a sled to sell since you're killing it...

I believe the section of water is bank only, no flotation devices

yup no boats allowed here where we were fishing. It is bank only all year but that doesn't mean lack of people by any means. There was probally 30-40 people that I could see on the whole streach of river we fished and seen 11 other fish landed and about 8 other fish lost.

Nice! I saw a springer get caught at D street about a week ago. I haven't caught a springer before either, coos and coquille don't get that run as well. Can't wait for that first! Got another steelie by clearwater on a #3 blue fox. That was a first too. Caught lots of salmon on spinners but that was the first steel. Been a pretty good start to the season, not as good as yours but hey, who is keeping count anyway. lol

Good job Pat on all the firsts this year before you know it you will be a pro and ditching people like me that dont know how to fish. I just am able to make a couple of good cast here and there and then the fish bite and always set the hook them selves then run right to the bank and beach themselves.lol. Ah just kidden I amjust prepaired part of the time when oppurtunity and preperation cross paths.Shount be long though before are rivers are kicking out good numbers of salmon.I do know some around the near by vacinity are produceing good numbers of fish for bobber and egg guys.Maybe 45 min. north from the town I live in.:naughty: Probally shouldnt have said that might make some people upset up there keeping secrects but oh well.

Mike, nice fish, I got my smelly jelly. do you have a map ( lol)

True, Jamie.

But there is also "no head like steelhead"

I picked up a steelie while salmon fishing the other day, and that's what I'm telling people. LOL.

Any update on your boat story? Hoping to see you and the kids out again soon.

went salmon fishing again today down south. Not as good results though.Buddy got this one his only bite.Another buddy lost 1 and snagged one that we let go of course and I snagged one that I poped off and lost 3 more. The last fish I lost was after 15 min. on the battle and we seen him twice and he was pushing the 30lb class but hook pulled triing to get him back up river for the forth time. As bran man can verify it was a great battle while it lasted and congrates to him today. He was fishing across the river from me and hooked up and got his fish.Good job Brandon. All in all was a very slow day today where we were all fishing but win some loose some.

Nice to see someone in your party got to tag one too mike. And yeah that looked like a big fish that you had on mike! I do not doubt that it was in the 30s! I could tell it was giving you a good fight! Shame it popped off!!! Yeah I'm glad I landed mine when I did cause probably only one or two more runs worth before I would have lost it!.... The guy that landed one right below me was a really nice fish! Looked like it could have been in the 20s. Yeah I def agree with you though that it was a pretty slow day....

yeah the guy below was Todd he is a great guy who just started out this year. Brad and I helped him out a lot with winter steelhead this year and got him into fish.He lives up on the hill right there and im sure you have seen him before.Drives the white toyota with the red canopy on it.He was fishing idiot rock the last few trips and getting fish up there but apparently moved down to the bar.

why dont you guys just put this under the river it is? im not askin for you to tell me cause i already know where you guys are. but still haha. steelhead are slowin down up here i think they are startin to keep them in the hatchery so they aint comin back down. nice fish. might go down there soon. last weekend was super slow.
