Not many rivers on the N. Oregon coast that turn that aquamarine color. The Elk was pretty close to that same color on Friday. Too bad I fished the Sixes.....it wasn't that color...lol.
Great job on the nookers. A few years ago I caught a winter steelhead in the county park on that river that was just a hair over 41". I thought it was a winter chinook until I got it to the bank....

WOW on the steel. The water was Beautiful that day!

That takes me back. That was one of the most memorable fish of my life. I can feel the power of it surging back towards that tree while I'm watching that. Awesome. Thanks for editing and posting. I know that's a lot of work.

Great post. I'm glad jamisonace didn't have to sit around and get depressed because he didn't make it down south this week. You would have had a hard time finding a parking place at Elk River anyways.
