Salmon 2023 ShowOFF

Salmon fishing has been red hot on the Umpqua this year. Chinook fishing was great but didn't last too long upriver. We caught about 15 adults and kept 7 but probably caught 30 jacks. Coho fishing has been even better. Just this morning I caught 3 adults and two jacks, last night 2 adults and 2 jacks. Every day we fish its a least pretty good. Our best days were last week. We caught 25 fish in 3 days. Here's a couple clippers from this morning.

Good? yes. Busy?even more yes. River Forks, Cleveland Rapids, Melqua Rd across from River Forks, Yellow Creek, 9 mile hole, Sawyers RV park....some are better than others. Fishing is winding down. I'd focus on River Forks park until the water comes up.
