I think I would probably mount a Minnkota, 50# thrust, 12volt, bow mount, foot control, like I put on my 16' lunker Alumacraft.

I'm not sure what part of Southern Oregon you live in but there is a lot of oportunity for a boat like that down there. Hyatt reservior, Lake of the Woods, Howard Prairie, and the list goes on. Congatulations!

Yea we are just south of Roseburg. Maybe trying her out Friday or this weekend at cooper Creek Reservoir.

My old 2stroke blew up. I couldnt see rebuilding it or put a new motor on my old boat so i got this one. I think i am really going to like it.

I have the exact same boat and I love my Smokercraft lodge. It's wider than most. However, I wish I knew at the time to get a 40hp motor. I have a 25hp and does okay, but I wish it was bigger. Anyway, congratulations!!! Now go out there and have some fun.
