Using several words that should be censored in the way that you used them. I was taught to respect the other sex. Funny. I didn't even know Raincatcher was a female until someone mentioned it to me in a PM. I don't care what sex he/she/it is. That's really irreverent with regards to the point I was making. I was taught to respect those who deserve it, not because they possess a specific reproductive organ. And I'm not apologizing for being censored over the word b@stard. You also might be misunderstanding me about those friendly families I was talking about. Every other word outta their mouth isn't the "F" word. Using these words in moderation doesn't hurt a damn thing and you know it. My posts on this forum a generally very clean (minus the graphic carp slayings lol). For her to go out of her way at 2am to censor one flipping word is childish, plain and simple.

Let me correct you. I didn't misspell the word b@stard, which you changed to buzzard. Nor was it considered a "bad word" until you just very recently added it to the list of words to be blocked out by asterisks. But now I'm forced to use alternative characters to get my point (words) across. Don't you have better things to do than moderate the word b@stard at 2am anyway? This is a seriously annoying abuse of your moderating powers. Follow the ****ing logic (yes that was the "F" word). Censoring the word(s) accomplishes what exactly? Well it keeps my eyes from burning out of my skull. WRONG. Well I don't like reading "vulgar" language. That's completely subjective, number one. Two, you're still saying the word in your head as you read the sentence. When has a block of asterisks stopped anyone from mentally filling in the blanks? Even you aren't that mentally handicapped. So again, WRONG. Well this is a family friendly forum and we'd like to keep it that way. Oh right cuz "friendly" families never say f*** sh*t @sshole ****, etc. Some of the friendliest families I know say things like that all the time. Your pathetic rant is entirely uncalled for. Chill out and take a xanax. It's pretty simple, if your language isn't acceptable it gets edited. Your language did not follow the forum policy and was edited. All mods edit language for their sub forums they moderate, if you had pulled it on the salmon forum or willamette forum, I would have done the exact same thing. Plain and simple. It's not as if this rule is new.

Well now. I guess there's a first time for everything. This is unfortunate as Mike's been a pretty good user to date, and has shared a lot of valuable and entertaining content. I don't recall him having a blowup like this, or even making many posts with words asterisked out. Speaking of which, is the B word filtered here like the F word, or S word? If it's felt the word should be censored, perhaps it should be added to the filter as a means of avoiding incidents like this in the future. It's much less personal when content is censored automatically, though I will state that I feel B@stard is right on the line of bad language. That said it should be clear that the posting of this word is not what resulted in his suspension. lol

As much as I would like to get on the bandwagon and make fun of Mike Pierce all day, I have to admit that he is ultimately the most respectful and nicest person I've personally met in OFF.

SURPRISE SURPRISE right? I know he likes to grill people, and this and that. Igquick made-up scale, john the hippie, carp hippies, whatever.

I grew up doing lots of sports and all my past jobs including now have been really hard work, and I'm still doing it today. Lifting 100 lb boxes regularly in a 12 hour shift, right now doing arm wrestling tournaments which are some reasons I haven't been around for a while. I feel like during these times, us men always grill the living crap out of each other, talk trash and make fun of each other, and will go as far as being disrespectful; but that's just part of it.

Well yes it is wrong that he goes OFF on OFF, but I honestly get more disrespected "indirectly" from most other people I have met on OFF. Most people on OFF that I meet are usually carp fisherman obviously, I act as nice as possible to them and try really hard not to choke them out because I could tell how fake they are as people, but at the end of the day, they are out to get me. I don't feel the same about Mike, he is definitely an honest person when you meet him believe it or not, even if he's talking trash. I feel that all the stuff he says on OFF is just talking trash.

I agree, I remember a night a couple years ago Graphite Zen and I went toe to toe.. the thread was deleted, and the interaction went to P.M, where Graphite explained his situation and my position and we worked it out like grown ups.. ya know, the old fashion way. I enjoy the unique flavor mike brings to the forum.
