Look at the size of this hook (tiny)

Their talking about fly fishing central Oregon right now on OutDoor GPS. I'm having a hard time doing two things at once. They are talking with Mike Harrington from ODFW about the Crooked, Metolius, Fall and Deschutes.

Incredibly small - but would be really fun for small trout and panfish. Smallest flies I've tied are 22's - I use these mostly for thread worms and midges - I don't tie dries that small because I can't see them - but wets tied on as droppers, you'll get a pull you'll feel, or your dry fly will bob down. My personal best on such a tiny fly is only 12 inches, but man was I sweating that 12 incher! 2lb tippet sometimes seems heavy for such small flies.

Not so sure about that one. My goal is to tie a wooly or a tiny royal coachman. or maybe an adams. I will report back with my findings. I will be splitting utc into 4 parts for tying thread. It can be done. I have seen very intricate flies that size.

22's are my limit, for the same reasons mentioned above.

Before you know it, a No-see-um will be mating with your fly on the surface of the water.

Well what you need for that is a dog poo pattern.

Good one!

Thats is nuts what is that hook used for! Except Guppy Snaggin!

Its for tiny dry flies I think. PM sent to Troutier Bassier as well.

Its hard to tie that small but it can be done and I would put money down that a trout would gobble that fly as long as the water was not to mucky
