I once watched a dude about 1/2 mile downstream catch some LARGE carp. They were about 10 pounds each.

P.S. I was on my lunch break, and between appointments, and not dressed for fishing.

Yes Smallmouth below the dam not in any huge numbers, I have only ever caught 1 there .Last time I was there water was very high also which is usually good for the cuts. got the smallie the same way as the rest fished worms suspended 6-8 ft below a bobber 1split shot to keep bait down . caught everything including the trout that way however lure fishin the trout is prob more effective.
