Home cured eggs vs store bought

I have had better luck with my eggs once I started air drying on screens for about 12 hrs first, I also open my eggs and let them get air overnight before I use them, and lightly salt them again.
 
So here's one for you all, what shlould you do if you happen to use to much cure or to much borax and the eggs see to get a little to firm?
 
I have used that Pautzkes egg juice I think it came in a blue jar but it has been a long time... it will rejuvinate your eggs to make them soft and supple again
 
I might need to go get some of that in fact I'm using the pautzke powder cure lol
