Chuck, thanks for the report, and great photos! I'm with you about the Brookies, I love them! I am glad the ODFW started stocking triploid Brookies to the res. again!

I have to stand corrected on this. ODFW is NOT stocking 3N (triploid) Brookies in Crane. I swear I read this on one of the hatchery annual "Operations Plans" the last couple years??? I spoke with district Biologist Hodgsons today and while I had him on the phone I ask him about the Brookies. He told me I am mistaken, and no 3N Brookies have ever gone into Crane. He said the natural production of Brookies in Crane produces more fish than he would like to see in the reservoir anyway so the ODFW would never consider adding more population with 3N fish.

Sorry for the misinformation, but I thought I had read what I reported initially.:redface:
