Fly fishing for trout: A McKenzie float trip

That is exactly how we fish streamers on the Mac. If I'm rowing I might lay one out the front while I back row. I've caught some of my biggest trout that way....lost a bunch more since I didn't have my hands on the rod.

Just wondering about streamers as that is the first thing I thouht of when I saw that run in the video. But then, that is my stillwater background talking since I don't know how to catch fish in moving water! Heck, if I was right where you guys were in that vid. I would throw on my heavy full sinker with my 4wt. and start swinging through but that's because I don't know anything else! :lol: I also forgot how to cast from a standing position. :lol:
