First Coho of '09

That 16 pound coho probably fought ten times better than that tule you caught, especially since it's fresh

I went to Fishermans and bought their 6 dollar scale.

I thought this season I would like to know how much the fish I catch weigh.

I have landed five coho since opening day 8.1.9.

That's the first one I could keep though.

Oh and one 25 pound Fall Chinook. Very Nice.

Ya def. a big coho or sure... did you measure it? Hard to do that fish justice with just a picture!

I am losing my hearing...Thanks for asking.

I did not measure the fish. Have a string cut to 24" with a tape wrap at 16.5".

24" for Chinook [when in season].

16" for coho.

I tried to bring my tape measure but it got all sandy.

Maybe one of those cloth measuring tapes...Nice!

And it had Probally 10 times less meat then my Tules did.

But guess what lil' buddy, his meat was probably firm and couldnt poke your finger through the mush like your dads tule.:lol:

not only is tule meat soft and stinky, it tastes like mud. Anyone that knows what they're talking about would take that 16lb coho ANY DAY over the tule. Don't kid yourself.

Coho are my personal favorite as far as salmon go. That is a beautiful fish!
