If you guys wouldn't mind, what would be a good choice for a file to sharpen hooks? I have thought of getting one but not sure on what grain or brand or type of file I should get. Figured while there's talk of it, I would jump in and ask.
Thanks.

It loooks like its time for me to upgrade my gear! Which i have been doing slowly over the few last weeks.
I got "too many" lures to choose from... while i am on the water... i put it in quotes cuz it's never possible to have "too much gear."
I gots my Steelhead spin set up for hardware, spin set up for drift fishing... is in progress just waiting on the reel and line.
I just bought some Leadmaster pliers for $13... ill tell ya what... it was a good investment, they sharpen hooks, punch holes and crimp... the obvious haha.
But now i will go buy my self some files for all my Dull hooks!!
Thanks for the tips on what file to use for hooks. Noi fish shall excape now!

Yes, get one! I carry one and notice that I often have to sharpen them up. Especially with the larger hooks (1, 1/0+), if they are dull, I'm betting it's more difficult to get good hook penetration unless they are super sharp.
I check the hook point and leader condition quite often; good insurance for when you get a hot fish on the line.
