EE Wilson Friday?

is there any rainbows in ee wilson

ee wilson is decent size its small enough to guarantee fish everytime you go there, from my personal experience they love spinners 1/8 oz i believe and powerbait off the bottom, as for the fish they are stocking it with brook trout right now..and should be prestocked with rainbows unless they ospreys ate them all over the closed time... but they will change the brook trout to rainbow trout not sure when though... this is my experience the last 2 years i was down there for school...however i did hear the water was still really low... so i dont know if they had stocked the pond yet, but i did hear some fish were caught off powerbait on sunday

thanks. where is ee wilson located?

it is off of 99W the road is camp adair i believe but you can type it into google and itll give you a map just type in E.E. Wilson wildlife

Almost time for the pond to re open. This year i have a float tube and will be trolling wooly buggers...can't wait

Have you made it out to EE Wilson, since you posted? I live pretty close by, and have fished it a lot in spring time. But, I've not fished it in the winter.

Have you been out to Wilson yet? Any luck?

I thought it was closed until Feb1.

Im pretty sure it is until sometime around there

RE: EE Wilson Friday?

Whoops, my bad. You guys are right. I just checked the reg's, and EE Wilson doesn't open until Feb. 1.

I think you'll do well, with woolies, from a tube though! And, if you're into spin fishing...I'd suggest giving a silver Kastmaster a try. I caught a 17-inch Brookie on one a few years back.

Good luck. :D

Anyone gonna be out for the opener?

Nice! I caught a Brook around that big too in there on a needled fish a few years back. Last few times I've fished it, it has been really crappy fishing..?
And the banks are soooo muddy and slippery.

Rats!

Rats!

I've got to work all next weekend. So, I'll wish you guys good luck!

Please send me a fishing report though...what they're biting on, etc. I may head out there on Monday, the 8th.

Thank you.

TD

P.S. Kastmaster's and Needlefish have a similar wobble as I recall. Good job man!

it opens tomorrow correct?

Yes, the 2010 reg's say it opens tomorrow (Feb. 1). Good luck.

Do they stock in the morning or whenever they get there....I am thinking tuesday morning will be good....not sure where this is even tho I live in Albany. I googled it but seen a couple ponds...could someone point me in the right direction...maybe get a couple hours in before work....

They stock it whenever they get there. Also the stocking schedule dates mean that it will be stocked sometime that week, not the exact date shown. If you call the number on the stocking schedule site you can call and check what's been confirmed stocked.

NO stocking this week...

NO stocking this week...

Hey lil,

Wilson is NOT on the stocking schedule for this week, or even anytime soon.

But, there may be some hold-over's from last season. And, I think that ODFW may have dumped a few big brooders in there in December (maybe).

Try a bobber, split shot, and green, orange, or rainbow power bait and some scent. Or, try a Kastmaster lure or other wobbler. The bottom is weedy. But, floating powerbait about 3' off of the bottom will also work.

And the previous poster is correct. If they say, just for an example, that they'll stock in "on" Feb. 15th...that is a Monday. BUT, they may NOT actually stock it until Thursday or even Friday. Sometimes they don't get there at all! (Like last week, they were supposed to stock the Sheridan Pond and didn't).

971.673.6000, is the ODFW # to call. Press 2 once, to hear the stocking schedule for the current week. Press 2 one more time, and you'll hear about all of the bodies of water, that are CONFIRMED as actually stocked for that week. The confirmation line is updated regularly.

FYI, I ALWAYS call the confirmation # BEFORE heading out. If it ain't confirmed, then it also ain't been stocked. So, I don't go unless I confirm it FIRST. 10-4?

Good luck and tight lines,

TD

Thew weekly recreation report says it was stocked with 1000 brook trout and some larger fish. THey usually do this to make the opening day a good one. Goodluck t owhoever goes out there

Holy Smokes!!!

Holy Smokes!!!

Holy Smokes...Rainbow is correct! It isn't listed on the stocking schedule at all, but the weekly report has 1,000 brookies and 500 rainbows listed for this week. (NOTE: that does NOT mean today necessarily...I still suggest you call the CONFIRMATION number, before proceeding).

However, that will be FUN! It is only an 8 acre pond. So, there will be 187.5 fish per acre! <insert the voice of Mr. Rogers here..."can anyone say 'fish on'...sure I knew you could">!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay::cool::shock::D;):yay::yay::yay:
