That rod has surprised me at Fogarty Creek Beach while launching a 3oz, but don't drink and power cast, tried that on the Willy, it's all fun and games until you get your finger caught in the line as it exits your spool (spinning reels).
Maybe I overexaggerated ''3-4oz 140yds'' + ''easy'' :lol:... Since I can't blame it on the dog, I'll blame it on lack of sleep from addiction to fishing .

The old Harrington rods were solid fiberglass and performed in similar fashion.....made about 50 years ago. Heavy made rods for casting a long ways and yarding in fish isn't a new concept I have one I got from Cabelas that was made for cat fish thats built similarly but it was only $20 too.

I use medium fast with 12lb. test for steel head/ coho, and 25lb. for the hogs! works good for me...
