I went camping the weekend of March 20th last year, and will be out on the 18th this year in the coast range. We will be bringing a tent heater this year, but honestly we did not need it last year at all. Tent camping last year during elk season it sure would have been nice to have, but we are getting older so things like cots and heaters are starting to look more and more useful.
Bring an ez-up or something for rain, a cot to keep you up off the cold ground and dress for the chilly morning and you are good to go! I can not WAIT to get out. It has been a long winter.
