When it comes to trips and a must see with my son I have the Fox at the top of my list. Although my reasons are mainly personal. I used to explore that area during my summer vacations when I was a youngster (family roots in the UP). I would like to get back there and fish it with my son and show him some of the wilderness from my past.
But also because it is the Big Two Hearted.
Nevertheless, its a river and area worth seeing for anyone. With out without family roots. Most people never even make it to the lower peninsula of Michigan let alone the UP.
