First couple fish:
Went out Saturday from Newport on the Misty - Beautiful weather, and my two friends and I got a limit of sea bass and a couple lings.
This is the easy way, for a buck a piece they filet them (and more importantly, deal with the mess).
We each got 3 1/2 crab apiece, with the fish, probably paid for the trip. ($69 +$12 for crab + tip for the deck hands)
We used the boat rods and rigging, but added a little special bait treat - the three of us had the hot rods on the boat.
Good time. My friend borrowed a condo, nice view over the bay to the NOAA fleet:
