Alsea pontoon float

I'd love to get out this weekend. I have a 9 ft pontoon boat that seriously needs to get wet

It's usually a lot tougher for me to get out on the weekends than it is during the week. The second week of February is open for me if you want to try to schedule something. I suppose it is also weather dependent.

Google and found some information on the Alsea. Apparently there are two runs of Steelhead. One comes in early around Thanksgiving and the other shows in December and usually lasts until March. The run from Mill Creek to Salmonberry is rated class I & II; meaning it's very easy float. 2003/2004 Steelhead numbers were over 4500 fish caught. Sounds like a very nice River!

I should mention the article said the run from Mill Creek all the way to Tidewater is rated Class 1 & II and is 32 miles long. Looks like a lot of opportunities for a leisure float.
