Winchester Bay bankie coho report

There was only about 10 wild coho caught from the bank in Windy Bay this weekend. Just thought id pass it along....about that many were also caught by boats from there up to Reedsport. We need a good rain or some more time.

Yes, I heard nwk caught one I think it was on the opening day... and mikeredding I think is what he goes by on here caught 4 on the slaw I think is what he said... from what I've been hearing /reading, the run for hos like everything else is a late start this year and they are just now starting to show up...

I picked up a greenbacker all the way up at the 101 bridge on the umpqua on Saturday...he definitely didn't like the hook in his mouth as he put on a really cool aerial show that finally broke the 30lb leader as he hit the net...not a bank report but it is an umpqua coho

super, super slow....this time last year most of the regular anglers out there were limited on there permitted two native ho's.....should pick up anytime...havy rain and big tides, then its on!!

Dude I totally forgot that you could catch a daily limit of native hos in day! Thanks for the reminder. now my goals are even bigger! Ha ha

Well if everything is still a go as planned, me and rippin fish lips will be heading down there tomorrow to give em some hell. hopefully we will not come home empty handed! Hopefully I will have some pics to put on here (fingers crossed)

good luck guys! I see most bankies at the boat basin jetty, but I've always thought getting out to the South jetty would be a better spot too fish. That's where we go in the boat after all. We fish close enough to the jetty that boats and bankies could potentially fish the same exact water. I see a few dudes on the rocks out there throwing hardware, but not many. I guess it's just hard to get too?

Anyway, another option for you to think about.
