Where to fish on Gales Creek?

Hello, thinking about fishing Gales Creek sometime, any advice where to start? Going to be fly fishing the bank.
Also ODFW regs shows GC says open all year to trout has anyone fished recently?

I’ve heard one too many stories of strange encounters with strange folks on that particular creek to give it much time. There are other year round rivers nearby that offer more public access in safer areas, like the Luckiamute and Little Luckiamute. Gales is nice up by the campground, but it’s pretty skinny water up there. Most of the larger trout are found downstream closer to the town of Gales Creek. There’s some decent access along Highway 6 as well that’s easy to find on Google maps. But again, I’ve heard off putting tales. Bring a friend for sure.

I fished it a few years ago up by the campground and and on one of the lower sections. I didn't run into any weirdos but I also didn't get any bites.
