Where to fish in September?

Looking for a good place to fish for Salmon/Steelhead in early september... I'm talking like next week or the week after. I'm willing to drive 2 hours from Gresham anywhere.

Any suggestions? I was thinking herman creek but I hear the run sucks this year...
