...HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY WINDS AND STORMY SEAS EXPECTED FRIDAY NIGHT
AND SATURDAY...

A SERIES OF STORMS WILL BRING PERIODS OF RAIN THROUGH THE END OF
THIS WEEK. THE STORMS WILL GET PROGRESSIVELY STRONGER WITH THE
STRONGEST SYSTEM EXPECTED FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. THIS
SYSTEM WILL TAP INTO SUBTROPICAL MOISTURE AND HAVE THE POTENTIAL
TO GENERATE HEAVY RAIN ACROSS SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST
OREGON.

DETAILS ON RAIN AMOUNTS AND LOCATIONS OF THE HEAVIER RAIN ARE
STILL UNCERTAIN BUT GENERALLY EXPECT 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN FRIDAY
NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. THE RAIN WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES WITH
PONDING LIKELY ON THE ROADWAYS. THIS HEAVY RAINFALL COMBINED WITH
THE WET WEATHER SYSTEMS LEADING UP TO THIS EVENT WILL RESULT IN
RAPID RISES IN RIVERS AND STREAMS.

GUSTY WINDS WILL ACCOMPANY THIS STORM RESULTING IN POSSIBLE HIGH
WINDS FOR THE COAST AND COAST RANGE...AND ACROSS THE HIGHER
TERRAIN FURTHER INLAND.

BESIDES THE LAND WINDS...THE SEAS WILL BE VERY STORMY. STORM FORCE
GUSTS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE OFFSHORE WATERS WITH SEAS LIKELY
WELL ABOVE 20 FEET.

Wow... My truck REALLY was dirty!!

Sounds great, troutdude! Is any of it gonna come south of the border into California? We are in drought conditions now.

Best,

hope it stays low so i can keep slaying fish all day lol

Hrm, okay then. Fly fishing class on Saturday and then Alsea on Sunday.

I was gonna fish the Alsea on saturday and sunday but I dont know if its going to be too blown out. WHat do you guys think? The river is around 2.7 and I think its supposed to jump to 6.0. Thats quite a bit.

That's the word on the street!

Too many of you guys washed your trucks. 5 inches of rain is gonna make things interesting if it actually happens. Some folks might be rowing their boats to the grocery store around town. Tillamook farmers might need to put life jackets on their cows.

getting hit good here in Florence, steady off and on rain since 3am and some serious gusty winds since about noon Monday...but a nice warm 52F!

Good to hear! I hope we get quite a bit although most of the rain is supposed to be north of us. Hit Whitaker today but there wasn't a steelie in sight. So low and clear I went down stagecoach and landed a nook on a spinner. Let him go of course, but it was nice to hook a fish. Was surprised at how bright he was, thought it was steel when I first hooked him. Bring on the rain!
