Waiting for a rod re-build

Last year, I bought a Lamiglas S-Glass (hollow fiberglass) rod. This is one of Lami's finest, IMHO. These rods were manufactured, I believe, in the early to mid 80's. This one is a 7.5', custom built, spin/fly combo, 5 - piece pack rod. It's original builder, made it into a spin rod.

But, I've just taken it to Mitch @ Two Rivers Fly Shop in Albany--to have it built into a small stream, 6 weight, fly rod. It'll be a couple of weeks, until it's ready to fish. I can hardly wait. It's going to be a sweet rod!

Anyone want to do some small stream fishing?

Why make it a 6wt if you're going small stream? If possible, I would have gone down to 5wt or a 4wt even. Just curious. :)

I misspoke; the rod already is rated as a 6 weight. Might be better as a smallie rod, on the Long Tom I guess.

Sounds like it will be a sweet rod no matter where you fish it......

Stopped by today. It's on the bench, and coming along nicely!
