Valentine gift for the Mrs. a life raft

Decided after last years event on the bar that I would purchase a life raft for the boat. Got that done today and it will be here before the halibut opener. I went with a six man Viking RescYou Pro. Now I hope I never have to use it but it does provide some peace of mind. It's self inflating self righting and comes with every thing you need in a life raft. For going offshore I think they are the thing to have. I told my wife it was her Valentine gift. She was very pleased no really she was.

How often do you need to get it re-tested/armed?

If I were a commercial operation it would be an annual event. Since I'm just a sport guy every five years, but I may have it done sooner than five years. With the epirb, the raft the new dsc vhf radio things should be good.

Reminds me of our family friends boat we fished on when I was young. Boat name was Carolyn's Diamond. Can you guess the wife's name?
