Upper Grande Ronde, around La Grande

Anyone have experience with this lesser fished area of the GR? I'm in La Grande for the next few days and would love to crack it. Been hacking away at the Wallowa, Imnaha, and Lostine all last week. Lots of business on those rivers, not too much traffic on the weekdays. Lemme know if any of yall have had success with the upper GR, past Hilgard State Park.

I think there is a lot of dewatering in that upper section due to the agriculture needs.
