That's a pretty good one, but the one that has been most productive for me is this one:
It takes a couple of tries at first, but then it can be really interesting playing with colors.

I use a TMC 100 for the hook though. I mean, you can sub out a lot of things while tying. That's what makes it so fun. Sometimes it's easier to stick with original materials list while starting a new pattern and then go from there. But don't remember the last time I saw 900BL's anywhere?

How is this pattern fished? I usually nymph with or without an indicator. Im almost thinkin this pattern would rock just boiling around in a good back eddy. Thanks for the materials list!!!!
P.S I just looked arount that site, its great!!! Awesome link!!!

Well, I fish this pattern in a few different ways. I'll drown it and dead drift, swing it, both behind a large fly. Or behind a dry or a double setup of whatever. Hell, you can put this behind a streamer and get something, opps.

Here's my little take on that pattern. Whipped this out after I got done with the swap flies
Could have used some finer wire and bushier peacock, but just threw this together with some scrap stuff.

That is a great variation! It looks slim too, it would sink quickly.
