Was wanting to go tuna fishing, need suggestions on best place to go. Live in Central Point was thinking first weekend in August

That is a good time to fish out of Charleston or Bandon. I don't know about ports any closer to you.. I go out of Newport on The Persistence. Fish will likely be everywhere at that time. Or it could be another year like last year and they never show up. Stay on top of the reports. There should be some indication of how it will be by the end of July.

The only charter I've used is in Newport. Stan Weed on the Persistence. I don't know if he takes singles. I charter the entire boat. Great captain and great boat.SARAH LEE said:

Call dockside charters in Depot bay.

Hit up T-Sea Charters out of Garibaldi. He runs an efficient Parker and gets good results. Good fisherman and loves to teach.
