Town run in December??

I drove over the Willy today on Main st. in Springfield.

Water is coming down but still pretty high at 10K cfs. Saw one drifter trailer (or raft?) at Island park. Anybody doing any good this time of year for summer steel?

If you can find em im sure you can manage to get them to bite!! Fish are still around probably spawning now. But anything for them eggs!! You might be able to get one on a big red k-15 or something! lol. I know there should be some right infront of day island ramp. I hooked a darkie around this time last year at HB on the mac. it got away and was very sluggish too! I bet ya... there is still a few makin there way up.

He coulda been "winter troutin" to.

They are still in there. probably not worth the trip though. they are getting ready to spawn and probably gettin gross.. its only worth catching a hen for the eggs... that river is still super chocolatey though from what I've seen. when the Willy blows out its ruined for months after

Good possablity they were floating down to island and doing a cast and blast for duckies.Got buddies that do good on ducks floating that drift.

I can't imagine catching anything with the way it looks now, unless you take a 6 pack and want to catch a buzz...

If I was in town on Sunday I might have taken the red sled out for one last try on the 'ol Willy just for fun. She'll be roaring at 17K Tuesday, so there is that for this week. Makes sense about birds dti...

Met a river buddy doing just that a week before the goose season opened this year! They struck out tho. LOL
