Hit the river this morning with colledgekidUSA. Threw hardware from the close bank a few people crossed, I opted out. There were probably 20 people scattered around the mouth of the creek. I was throwing the 1/3 oz cleo I landed a hen with on Wednesday.
1/2 hour in landed a jack. freebie
1 hourish in Ben hooks a nice chrome hen.. BOnk
1/2 hour later hooks a fat hen passes the rod to ME (all for one) BONK.
Hooked 2 more landed zero.
Awesome morning!!!!

However.... My fish was BEAT UP. She had a rough life. She fought for about 2 min. One run then turned toward me. That was it she just came right at me no fighting. When I landed her, her fins were shredded. She has net or braid lines all over her face. I think she was caught up in a net at one point. Rough.

The meat looked nice for the color of the fish and she was loaded with eggs.

Thats FOUR clipped hens from cedar this week. Bam

Great job troutmasta and colledgekidUSA. Looks like an amazing day. Do you think those marks and torn fins on the fish from a fisherman netting the fish and releasing it or from them escaping some gill netting? Did you notice any other hook marks in the mouth?

Great work guys! The lines on the head could have been made by an escape from being hooked. They roll a ton.

I really didn't see any damage to the mouth, but pretty much all the fins were toast. There were some wounds on the side of the fish as well.
