...We fished yesterday, took Rick, a buddy from Lake Tahoe,Harlan, a buddy from work and Dylan, his son...Buddy from Tahoe scored the first fish before I got all 4 rods deployed, next pass we had a double briefly...Ryan scored the second hen of the morning...Buddy from work had his bait robbed.
We continued down stream and Tahoes rod folds again, hen #3. Next it was my rod that hit the water, I pulled it from the holder, made sure the hook was solid adjusted the drag and handed it to buddies son(his first salmon)....15lb buck in the boat.
Next was Harlan's turn(buddy from work) jack in the box...
Fishing dropped off until high slack...we were ready to call it a day and were clearing rods when Dylan's(buddies son) burried. Hen # 4 in the box...
Final score Rick(Tahoe) 2 hens, Dylan 1 buck/1 hen, Ryan 1 hen, Harlan 1 jack, 1 take down that didn't stick, And Me 1 hooked and passed (inthe box buck)...great day to get three noobs there first salmon. 5 adults, 1 jack, 1 drive by

Nice That's a great day in my book,I love watching salmon cherries popping. Er I mean people catching there first salmon.. Sounds like you got your brine game dialed in good lob:clap:

Man I need to be friends with someone like you! Ha ha sounds like a great time! I actually went out Sunday too but had to fish from the banks.... (no boat obviously) still somehow managed to catch a little jack and hooked a nice coho but lost it. Not as good of a day as you had though ha ha. Good job

Nice man, slaying them nookers!

BTW, you look really familiar...almost positive I saw you out on the boat last weekend. Will holler at you next weekend if I see you :)

Saturday I was in my ugly, old, , red, plastic drift boat.....Sunday I was on a 20' smokercraft sled..

Yep, think I saw you then. We've been hitting it with a 15 foot Koffler drift ourselves. Will keep an eye out for you :)

Nice!

w t f this weekend it definitely picked up! way to put the hurt on 'em hardcore. i got stuck with andy and my brother on the river friday night until like 930 pm lol, and did we get anything? nope. I lost a biggun though, broke me off. Most powerful headshakes i've ever felt! On a brine someone recommended I try ;)

i was broke off by 7am

ya i just happen to be at the right place at the right time for once, usually when i take the sled, 95% of the time im the one getting hosed, so ya i know the feeling

It's a morning show, isn't sheet going on in the evening. We didn't get on the water until like 330

Fished the slaw sunday too . Hit the water at 11 am at low slack and trolled until 6 pm without even a bump. I heard that they did better upstream bobber fishing but we stuck it out at cushman ! Guess we should have moved upstream.

Mapleton

Mapleton

Can't go for another week and a half, but will be there about the 18th for 3 days. Is there enough water at low tide to put a 20' sled in at Mapleton? I know some years I couldn't get my drift boat in and some years you could launch the Queen Mary. Just thought I would throw out the question. Are any of you still fishing by the bridge in Florence? Thanks for any help, Have to go late so the Dr. can fix me up first. Tight Lines, Qwapaw

I had no issues launching my boat at low tide, but a driftboat can be launched literally anywhere so I don't know about a sled. Seemed like it would be ok though

Thanks Jigs, I knew the Siuslaw connection had the answer. Dan
