Went out steelheading and worked hard for almost 4 hours to get my one and only bite of my day. luckily I got it to stick and banked and bonked a classic McKenzie river cookie cutter steelhead. 28" and guessing around 7-8 pounds. my new rod definitely was the reason I landed this fish this time. it is so sensitive I could feel the take perfectly, I was really on top of that fish, wasn't going to get away from me!. pretty fun day. made the effort worth it

My sexy new rod! Ha ha :

Nice New Rod and Sweet Solid Steel :dance:

Nice job Brandon, i thought you'd get one today. Good job on landing that one considering it was pretty slow. Im stoked you got one - makes up for the one i lost :lol:

Well done sir. I need a new steelhead rod.

Way to go, you been doing pretty well lately. Looks to me like your new rod is made for an upside-down reel...LOL....I'm obviously jealous that you have been getting out catching.....

Sweeeeeeeet!!!!! :clap::clap::clap:

I got a gl2 as well and love it. Get your hands on a GL3! ooo you will **** your pants at how sensitive it is. Accidently stub a gl3 in the ground your done though... thats why i think gl2 is better.

My gl3's have been pretty durable, the only time I broke one was dropping an oar on it....even then with the old expeditor service I had a new one on my door in 2 days for $50.....its $100 now and has to be a currently produced rod.
