Spring bank fishing near McKenzie River

I'm new to Oregon, and was thinking about spending a weekend in mid April fishing around the McKenzie river. I mostly have tackle for trout, and no boat.

Is there any decent bank fishing (trout or otherwise, I can always use the excuse to buy more tackle) anywhere near McKenzie Bridge in mid April?

@calebwatt15 most Oregon streams don't open until May 22nd, for trout fishing. But you should visit the regulations link below and read page 46 & 47 for specific zone exceptions, for the McKenzie.

Check out Harvest Lane in Springfield. Follow the maze of bike trails to the river. Great access there. You can go up higher but the fishing is excellent in town this time of year. Also just down stream from the hospital. I can't remember the access road....something Ferry....anyway, good bank access there too. I know a great guide that really knows the lower river if you're interested.
