Spanked another steelhead

32 Inch buck fell to the the Bobber and Jig. Fished a couple of hours using the nightmare jig with no takers, then switched to eggs, micro worms, then back to a different color Jig, first cast fish on. fished another hour with one take down but yanked it out of it's mouth, all I saw was a flash.

I switched my braid from power pro to Berkley Nanofil, huge difference the nano floats on the water so much better with almost no drag, mending is much easier and the stuff will let you cast a half mile. I was having a issue with tip twist on the power pro, That issue is gone with the Nano. I also got to try out my new hatchery hammer.

Nice fish! Are those small rocks or big rocks....

Just out of curiosity were you fishing in the same spot the whole time?I almost am strictly a bobber and jig guy but have yet to hook a winter if you've seen any of my posts.I was just curious if its worth it staying in one spot for a few hours and trying a few different presentations rather then moving around a bunch and trying one or two presentations.

The fish in that picture looks like a 16 inch trout I have a better picture but it gives away the spot, so you will have to trust me ;)

Yes same spot, Everytime I thought I would move another fish would do A nice roll to let me know there were in there. I think it boils down to the right color at the right time. at least it did today.

Hey Chad, Thanks for the presentation at mazama the other night, I used a few of those tips and it really helps. the drennen floats and sliding weight, and bobber stop set made life much easier. I also pre tied rigs so it was so easy to switch over.

Awesome! Thanks for coming, these low water years are the perfect time to use the lighter line float fishing technique. Just be sure to leave a few in the rivers for us.

The 12lb in the 300yrd and 150 yrd is still on sale but only the green and we are out of the 150yrd so all we have is the 300yrd for $20 which is still a awesome deal.
