• Catch-and-release for trout May 22 - Sep 15.
• Open for hatchery steelhead and hatchery
coho Jan 1 - Apr 30 and Dec 1 - Dec 31,
upstream to Jackson Creek Bridge.
• No limit on size or number of bass.
• Closed to angling upstream of Jackson
Creek Bridge.
• Closed to angling May 1 - May 21 and
Sep 16 - Nov 30.

All rivers and streams in Oregon are closed to salmon and steelhead angling unless otherwise listed in the special regulations. Posted above are the special regulations for the South Umpqua. It does not list Chinook Salmon, therefore it is closed to fishing for them.
