I love low water fishing but i sure do miss high water fishing. I have not been fishing as much as i was in the begining of summer do to work, but have been managing to fish a little in my "close to home" waters.

Even though still in the city, i have been lovin it.

Low water = amazing wading opportunities.

This is a hole, and a place that i will not mention if asked. (sorry) If you know where.... this is.... Please keep those lips shut. (fishermans respect)

A tree that provides an amazing source of nutrients for the fish holding below.

Lost about 6 of these lil guys. This... is the upside down cutty. (mod can rotate if they feel the need to) I do not mind.

Then the last fish i pulled out... was one beast of a white fish that was gill hooked and did infact die so i took a pic.

Next tail out down river... First cast i get one really agressive stike, missed it. couple casts later and BoOm! fish on, Drag starts peelin, head shakes, power, fish tried to show me up, but it had no chance.

To be honest... its the best fighting fish all summer for me.

Steelhead action has been slow for me since the begining of july so i am doing a little trout hunting.

Looks like good habitat in that hole, and a sick trout that you pulled out of it!

Best homes,

That's awesome. What a thick fish! It's always a blast to catch em that size in shallow water

Thanks! I will get 2 the next time i go out if i can get my mind of the lower part. I am just trying to look for late run freshies. Very few steelhead in the places i am fishing right now but i know there is some lurking. The bows got my attention this year, So agressive and in really good numbers.

I take this back... I will say this fish was the best fightin trout all year. and i can't wait to chase them in the winter. It is comparable to some steelhead i caught last year that just came in like slugs.
