Shuttle service?!! I need it tomorrow! (7-21)

I used to have a number for a shuttle service on the mckenzie but it seems to be disconnected? My plans are to float from leaburg to greenwood, or perhaps the town of leaburg at 0400 tomorrow. Due to work schedules looks like I'll be going solo. I need a number for a shuttle service. I know there has to be one?! Or if someone is doing the same float, perhaps we could coordinate and I could bum a ride if you promise not to cut me up into a million pieces and stash me somewhere. Just throwing that out there.

Thanks! I had Ed's number but it wasn't going through. Left a message with the other guys wife to coordinate, since hes out fishing. So sounds like I got it worked out.
 
Hmmm... I wonder if there should be a sticky thread of some sort, or segment of the forum where shuttle services can be posted that people know of:think:
 
It would for sure be handy. can't always coordinate with someone that has a second vehicle.

Looks like I'm gonna bike it, and hope no one steals my crap. Called the shuttle guy and when I told him which section I needed a shuttle he said he refuses to shuttle up there because it's a "cluster(expletitive)" with too many people and not enough parking. Fml. Really? Park it on the highway, everyone else does. Sigh. Fingers crossed no one steals my gear, boat, or my fearsome guard puppy.

Whatever happened to that teacher dude that was on here asking if someone would take him salmon/steelhead fishing? Didn't he post his phone number? He just might be your ticket if you can get a hold of him.
 
Sounds creepy even for me to put a "teacher dude" in my boat. Dont you watch south park?
 
I don't know. He gave me his number I think but its gone lol. I suck at retaining information. Plus, I'm leaving in 7 hours. Oh well. It'll be an adventure, right? Weekdays off are still awesome...I just need to find new friends with Wednesday's and Thursday's off that fish lol. Is it bad that I wish a few people were still unemployed? Oh how easy it was to convince someone to go fishing lol.

I really am apprehensive about meeting up with wierd randoms. I met a hell of a creeper on the river once and it was no bueno. No bueno at all. Creepy stalker type. But that's another story...
 
I wish my wife didn't have an issue with it otherwise I'd take the day off and be the shuttle guy. Oh well.....I hope you get into some nice fish and I hope no one messes with your property.

For a person who thoroughly enjoys the out doors, IE fishing/hunting/camping/rafting; WHAT HAVE YOU, week days hold them self much higher than the weekend. Its hard to beat an unmolested favorite fishing hole.

Hell yeah it is. I've been working the mon-fri 9-5 grind for the last six years and it sucked. Because everyone else that does the 9-5 is out on the weekends. I used as much sick leave as I could, but that only gets you so many weekdays, and then your boss starts doing drive-bys to make sure your vehicle and boat are both parked at your house where they should be.

I'm absolutely loving having weekdays off now. It's awesome. But I've realized, I don't know anyone with the same days off. So that trade off kinda sucks. It makes it less convenient. That said. Tomorrows a weekday and I'm going fishing. The weekend crowds can suck it.
 
I wish I were going but like I said........ I usually never turn down fishing.

ok, I've been reading here for a long time, most awesomest info here thanks all, and had to create an account just for this thread. Grew up in the midwest, tons of trolling on lakes in Minnesota. Anyway, had my first drift EVER on friday down the McKenzie with some friends and I am hooked. Yellow and red spinner netted me my limit++. I am mostly unemployed,(ask for my resume, please!) have truck and beer. will shuttle and share, for a drift along. oh, and I've never cut anyone up... who didn't deserve it. jk. duh, cheers. peace, people.

Either Jeanna slayed the fish and shes just holding off till later to show us the pics or something happened to her boat on the float down and is to embarrassed to tell us. Being that i found that boat for her and showed her how to row it i feel i have something vested in the condition of the boat and her well being . Jeanna ! Where are you !
 
She must still be at the ramp waiting for a shuttle. Hasn't been on for days??
 
I'm alive and the boat is fine. Didn't float, had something come up and said screw it. Gonna be floating the santiam this week, im over the Mac.
 
mac is old news right? Still lots of fish coming over the falls... to bad im READY to start chasing some fall fish... few more weeks...
