Seems like something is missing.

The last two weeks I've been to fish at Alton Baker Park, I haven't even gotten a single bite.
Anybody know why the scheduled stocking were not done?

@plumbertom It's always a craps shoot bro. Especially this time of the year. Could be that an employee called in sick. Could be truck break down. Could be that another task took priority. I miss the days of being able to call and actually confirm, that a stocking was actually done.

As of this week, stocking is supposed to resume at JCP.
I hope it does.
My monthly fuel allowance for fishing is greatly depleted by running to A-B Park only to sit on the bank and watch the ducks and geese swim around. Not that just being out is so bad, especially when the weather is nice, but pulling on a fish or two is about the only real excitement I get at my age.

Just a quick note.

I went to JCP yesterday.
While I was there, I observed a few others out doing the same.
After a couple of hours there, I had almost concluded that it hadn't been stocked.
But as noon approached, One guy fishing from the pier caught a planter trout.
Shortly afterward, I started getting bit.
In a short time, I had caught and released 5 nice sized planter trout, and saw one angler that had caught a steelhead.
So at some point before yesterday they did stock the pond with not only the 1000 legals, but it appears they also tossed in a number of steelhead to get the season started.
