Salmon fishing on Willamette

Hey all, this is gonna be my first year salmon fishing and wanted to see if there are any good areas along the Willamette for bank fishing salmon. I live in Eugene was kind of thinking of exploring the Coastal Fork of the Willamette, around Mt.Pisgah. Any thoughts or ideas on if this would be a good spot or if there are any other areas somewhat close by to Eugene to try out? Thanks everyone!

Right now we're in between the Spring Run and the Fall run. Any potential Springers will be in the upper stretches of the tributaries, of the Willy and the Mac. The area that you've fished around Pisgah may produce some lethargic trout (due to high water temps). But the Spring Salmon are already far, far upstream. In the headwaters/spawning grounds of the main rivers. Which, actually, might not even be open for salmon angling. (Be sure to check the regulations)

Otherwise it's a waiting period, for the Fall run to begin. When the rains and cooler water temps begin.
