Rogue rods

I was thinking about getting a new rod around tax time, What I'm looking for is a shorter steelhead rod about 7'9' two pieces, casting line weight 8-15# or 8-17#. Will be using on the Columbia for summers and on smaller watersheds that are brushy. So far the only one that fits the bill is from Rogue rods and since I have never owned one was trying to get other peoples opinion on them.

They make a nice rod, but their customer service and warranty depts suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a guide, I tried them out for a while and recommended them to my clients until the calls came in from my clients bout their crappy service and warranties. I also broke one the first time out on the second cast and they charged me 65.00 to get it back. They told me yes it was a defect but still charged me anyway. I would strongly recommend a Lamiglas!!!!! That's just my 2 cents

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that in the last 10 years...I'd have a lot of nickels.
