I was only out a couple hours before the short (8 second) period swell got to me but the black rockfish cooperated, including a 21", 4.5# tank full of squid that it hurled all over my i11s! (free bait!). even better, the fillets were clean.

Nice. I only go if it's like glass or nearly so. The stomach is a little sensitive.

for sure, easy getting out ('punching the surf") but all the reefs in that area tend to deflect the swells around so you often get bounced around from all directions....

Yeah, i think i might be hurling in that water, but it's been a while, ya never know. You are a brave pirate indeed, nice fish Roger. I still have some steelhead fillets if you want to trade again :thumb:
 
Great Haul looks like a great trip and good grade of fish.
