Redtail surf perch action

decided to head over to seal rock and see if I could hang some redtail perch. fishing was ok, and I went during low tide. I was using gulp sandworms for bait as usual. this stuff is great and stays on forever!

Glad to see you got in to em P K!I went a few days ago and still can't find em.There are so many sand crabs in the foam it looks like a sci fi movie.Are you seeing that up your way?

I had the same experience. Sand crabs everywhere by the thousands but I couldn't get a fish to bite.

I didn't know what I was doing so I wonder if there were fish but they just didn't like my offering.

While I'm a firm believer in those Gulp camo sandworms for surf perch, little I know of will out fish soft shell sand crabs.

yes. it's a cabela's salmon/steelhead rod, 10' heavy action.
