Quick hookup

Got on the river today around 230 or 3ish and 6th cast in with a spinner, a nice thick one whacks it! I'm starting to like spinners more and more.... Great fight with 4 or 5 jumps in. Love hooking into hot fish only being there less than 5 minutes! After that me and my friend decide to go farther down river. And second cast down there and I hooked up again. After about 5 minutes of fighting and chasing it down some rapids it pops the hook. Oh well, at least I got one, and I'm not losing every fish like I have been! Ha ha . My friend that I was with also picked up a pretty nice cookie hen near the end of our trip so overall it was pretty decent day.

What river and what were you using? I haven't caught anything worth wile in a few years so help a brother out please!

Nice fish, way to go.....I actually broke out a jig rod on my last trip and got a 12+lb 37" buck that jumped 5-6 times before i got it in the boat.....first time I've jig fished for steelhead in a couple of years....

As for what I was using, just re- read my first sentence. And even though I KNOW tons of people that know/ recognize me will know what river I like to fish, I'll just private message that one...
