Has any one caught anything in there????

ODFW stocked it earlier this year but it's been fished a whole lot and needs restocking badly. I was there twice last week in the evening, only got one solid bite the whole time. About dusk you could see some fish rising, but they were pretty much ignoring anything except the bugs

Do u know when they r going to restock it.

It did not appear on the ODFW stocking report this year so I don't know when they'll do it next. This was the first year it was open to fishing and I don't think they had a clue as to just how popular it was going to be. Hopefully they will stock it before next year!

FYI, they have not forgotten about it...it was restocked 6/21. From : http://www.dfw.state.or.us/RR/willamette/

"PROGRESS LAKE: trout

Stocked June 21 with 600 legal-sized rainbow trout and 50 trout in the 3-4 pound class. Progress Lake is a four-acre lake located between Scholls Ferry Rd. and SW Barrows Rd. in South Beaverton, next to Progress Ridge Town Center."

Huh, interesting. They may have restocked it, but it is still pretty much fished out. That place was BUSY on any given evening/weekend.!

Possibly fished out...but I also think there's another possibility.

When I got news of this place, I went down just to check it out since I live so closely. There is only a very small area with access to fish and restricted against floating craft.

As such, and with 4 acres and significant depth, once the fish get acclimated and explore, they'll soon find that they can find a depth with comfortable temperature and can cruise around in peace away from the dock when there is too much pressure/noise/disturbance and just not reachable. So, there may still be a good number of fish still around for all we know, but just impossible to reach/catch if they're spooked by the crowd and hide out in the depths and/or the 98% of that water nobody can effectively fish.

What I mean by effective, is even if you can cast a mile and reach quite a ways, there's still no guarantee that's where the fish are cruising and more importantly no way to know what depth your presentation needs to be...they won't necessarily be on the bottom and how far do you suspend it to get to the fish?

Just some thoughts...I think there very well may be some holdovers in there.
