Pretty good day

Had a pretty good day fishing and was pleased the weather held out as long as it did on saturday for the most part. I fished from boat trolling mostly in sain creek for the first half of the day to stay out of the wind and being blown around and also finished the end of my day there as well. Ended up landing 10 bows all little guys and lost a bunch more I kept the first four to keep the number 5 space open for a 20" plus trout but that didn't happen so I scavenged up another little guy before heading home with my limit. On the eastern shore of sain creek arm there was a pretty large fish that just kept blowing up the water about 3 ft off shore for about an hour that started at the really deep point and about every 10 minutes just kept moving down the shore line farther into the creek arm it stopped for a little bit then started moving back the other direction again. Of course I tried to chase it but no luck lol. If anyone cares to know what I was using it was a 1/8th ounce kastmaster silver and orange flat lining at just enough speed to keep it with some action. I do believe I seen another off'er out there with a red pontoon boat fully decked out paddling in sain creek and although I haven't met him I did recognize the boat from his posts in the past. I could be wrong.

That was me on the toon. Didn't have the day you had. Had several hits on a rooster tail and a little cleo copper but nothing brought in.
Did see some guy bring in an 8-9 pounder before I left at 12:30.
No fish but the rain held off except for the very light sprinkles and 4 hours of cardio rowing. Still worth getting out!

Glad you guys found some breaks in the weather to wet a line. Boy it would be a wild ride on the water today.

Thanks for sharing, sounds like it was nice to just get out on the water....with some you you catchin' rather then just Fishin'. From what I hear its suppossed to be snowing out there tonight and tomorrow. Still wish I could get out their rain, shine or even snow

Any day out on the water beats a day at work! Glad the weather held up...

Hey wozniasm next time I'll say hi if I see ya out there. I was the guy in the white glass boat that was dragging the 5 gallon bucket behind me (poor mans drift sock). Its kind a cheap of me but hey it works perfectly. I get a lot of strange looks and a lot of folks ask about the bucket lol. Well maybe I'll see ya out there in the weeks to come. I'll probably be hitting up dormans pond this weekend since its getting stocked this week most likely on wednesday.

I figured who you were when you posted. Loved the bucket! Hey, if it works and saves you a few dollars, I'm in.
You get strange looks - did you see my set up?! There'd be a jaccuzi on it but my heat pump went out!
You can tell I'm a ex-Boy Scout: prepared for any type of fishing. I did forget my fish finder I have on the end of one of my poles!

May hit up Commonwealth this week after work since it's close to work and it's getting stocked.
